Mrs. Smith’s SignatureDeep Dish Pies & A Fun Giveaway!

This post brought to you by Mrs. Smith’s. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love pie; but I don't bake them from scratch that often. "Why not?" you ask. Because it is a lot of work. First, you have to make a crust, a difficult and often messy task. Then you have to make the filing; this usually involves a lot of peeling, coring, chopping or pitting. Then you have to make some sort of topping, because a pie is incomplete with out a topping.

The new line of Mrs. Smith's Signature Deep Dish pies will help you get your pie fix without all of the work.  The Deep Dish pies are available in four different flavors:

  • Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce
  • Cherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce
  • Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing
  • Peach Pie with Cream Cheese Icing

We tried the Dutch Apple Pie first, and it was delicious. There were so many apples in the filling and it had a wonderful brown sugar streusel & caramel sauce.  It disappeared before I realized that I hadn't taken any pictures. Big food blogger faux pas!!!

We also sampled the Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing.

While it was still warm I served it with vanilla ice cream and the caramel sauce left over from the apple pie.

The left over pie was also delicious with whipped topping the cream cheese icing and caramel sauce.

I cant wait to try the Cherry Pie with butter fudge Sauce. I'm saving that one for the next dinner party I attend. I LOVE peach pie and I  was bummed that I was unable to find it here in Alaska.

What a FANTASTIC giveaway!!! WOWZERS! Your photos are mouth-watering!! I would have to try the pumpkin with cream cheese frosting first. They all sound awesomely wondermous. =) I would probably buy some colorful bakeware dishes (or dish) with the gift card.

I totally agree. Why go to all the trouble to make a pie and the mess in the kitchen when Mrs. Smith makes them ever so much better. They can be dressed up, warmed up, and served. Everyone loves them. I’d love to try the pumpkin pie with the cream cheese and maybe I’d add a little whipped cream on top of that!
I would take a look at a new baking sheet or two. I do bake – cookies!

I’d like to try the Peach (mmm cream cheese!). I’d use the gift card to buy a Le Creuset crepe pan I’ve had my eye on.

I would like to try all of them but The Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce really caught my attention. My mom needs a new cookware set so I would use the gift card to buy her one for Valentine’s Day

WS has the most beautiful Dorset Martini Mixer, and gift card would definitely go towards that purchase. I think I need to try the Dutch Apple Pie – my fave. Thank you for this offer.

All of the pies look so delectable and delicious! I want to try them all! The one I’d go to FIRST however is the Pumpkin Pie with the cream cheese icing! Warm pumpkin pie during this cold season seems so appetizing (talk about a cozy night in). I’d probably purchase some new cupcake pans so I could bake some of my favorite sweets! (pumpkin cupcakes, cinnamon cupcakes, gingerbread cupcakes, oh my!)

ALL of those pies look delicious! I want to try them all! The one I’d FIRST go to however is the Pumpkin Pie with the cream cheese frosting! It looks so yummy especially with the caramel drizzled on top. I’ve always thought Pumpkin pie should best be enjoyed in this cold season (talk about a cozy night in!). As for the gift card, I’d probably buy some cupcake pans to bake some of my favorite sweets! (pumpkin cupcakes, cinnamon cupcakes, carrot cake cupcakes, oh my!) :o)
